… you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind. And you should put on the new man, who according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness. Therefore putting away lying, let each man speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down upon your wrath, neither give place to the Devil. Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, so that he may have something to give to him who needs. Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect of need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed until the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and tumult and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. [MKJV Ephesians chapter 4] … the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal: "The Lord knew those who are His." And, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity!" [2Timothy 2:19]

  Relationship > followship > fellowship.
For a John 3:3 “born again” individual they are authoritatively a member of God’s family: “… as many as received Him, He gave to them authority [Strong’s Greek1849ἐξουσία; exousia; ex-oo-see'-ah
From G1832 (in the sense of ability); privilege, that is, (subjectively) force, capacity, competency, freedom, or (objectively) mastery (concretely magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control), delegated influence: - authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength. ] to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name, who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.” (Jn.1:12-13) Our position “in Christ” is therefore sealed for eternity.
Relationship being completely and ultimately by God, followship effecting fellowship with Him and our fellow man, both John 1:12 family or not, is our responsibility to exercise and implement in our position as sons and daughters. Affected godly activity by and from our position “in Christ” is empowered or discounted by our attitude. James explained this truth: “A person who has doubts shouldn't expect to receive anything from the Lord. A person who has doubts is thinking about two different things at the same time and can't make up his mind about anything.” (GW chapter 1)
Affecting family relationship unto followship and fellowship is true worship pleasing God.
