OF GNATS AND CAMELS (Mt.23:24)

David thoughtfully commented on yesterday’s DT.
“Thanks Ed. An interesting story I heard a while back:
A speaker at a large Christian conference began his talk by saying, "80% of the world's population is unsaved." After pausing for a second, he then asked the crowd, "Can you believe that sh*t?" (His verbiage not being censored).
There was of course a large gasp from the audience. After the murmurs started to die down the speaker then asked, "How many of you were more offended by the word I just said than the stat I gave before that?"
To your main point, we must not be tricked into missing the big picture because we're bickering about something minor. Titus 3:9 is good instruction here. It doesn't mean we condone minor but still sinful/inaccurate behavior, we instead focus on Godly prioritization. Discernment doesn't only involve right vs. wrong, it also weighs important vs. insignificant, and worthwhile now vs. best addressed later.”
