INTRINSIC DISORDER

INTRINSIC DISORDER

1Corinthians [MKJV] 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all

        churches of the saints.

2Corinthians 5:1-21 … if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; whereas God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and putting the word of reconciliation in us. Then we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as God exhorting through us, we beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For He has made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

A friend just sent a note saying she this morning started receiving emails and texts that were sent a year or more ago, and that her boiler won’t kick on. Plus I received a few other newsy notes from individuals telling of their problems. Then there’s the election results and hearing again “Now we’re going to see real change!”

The computer will be fixed, the boiler fired up, change will be . . . but disorder will continue as it is intrinsic to mankind and nature as result of Adam’s  Fall.

We love to say we’re in a battle with Satan, principalities, briars, rust, rot et al. But doing so is failing if we consider the nearest enemy; our intrinsically disordered being.

We can resist Satan, but we can do zilch to change him.

We can alter principalities through election, petition, or revolution, but not thereby move populace to godly altruism away from conflicts.

We can however realize personal freedom in 2Corinthians 5:17 deliverance from our intrinsic nature by relying on and submitting to the Lord of peace.

And His peace is exceptionally helpful in dealing with life’s never-ending boiler problems!  EBB4
