DANGEROUS THINKING

Acts
4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people
of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified,
whom God raised from the dead, even by
him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set
at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved.
Romans
3:20-26 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no
flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is
the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is
manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness
of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ
unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all
have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his
grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood,
to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through
the forbearance of God; To declare, I say,
at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him
which believeth in Jesus.
Yesterday (BEFORE
ALL THINGS!) Jon Mayo provided laws of science that refute evolutionary
theories: Evolutionists believing in order developing out of disorder, when in fact
order initially and continually moves to disorder.
Jon’s fine
explanation set me to thinking about dangerous thinking commonly held to by
evolutionists: The concept that man of himself has the potential to come up
with and implement idea(s) that will bring about cessation of mayhem; war,
destruction, murder et al. -- and doing so apart from Jehovah God Almighty,
Lord Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit; Logos, The Word.
Janie B. Cheaney,
in her essay “Back to the future of bad ideas” (WORLD 12/13/14) points out how
very flawed such thinking is. She notes that history reveals that every idea
involves implementation; it running head-on into diversity in human ideals and
desires, individual and community. This commonly comes to implementation being enforcement;
war, destruction, murder et al.
Cheaney correctly
explains not a concept but the precept “All men are sinners, all hearts are
deceptive.” (Isa.64:6; Rom.3:23)
Man does not have
the answer naturally within self and never will! And it is dangerously apart
from God’s grace for us to think so.
