QUESTIONING GOD

Hebrews [ESV] chapter … do
not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of
endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is
promised.
For, "Yet a little while, and the coming one will
come and will not delay; but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he
shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him." But we are not of those who
shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their
souls.
Is it okay to
question or disagree with Jehovah God Almighty?
It depends.
Eve, then Adam, did
so. (Gen.3)
Cain did so.
(Gen.4:9)
Abraham did so.
(Gen.18:23)
Saul did so.
(1Sam.28:6)
Hezekiah did so.
(2Kin.20:1-3)
Psalmist did so.
(10)
Psalmist Maschil of
Asaph did so. (74)
Psalmist Asaph
did so. (77)
Peter did so.
(Mt.18:21)
Nicodemus did so.
(Jn.3:4)
Jesus, His only
begotten son, questioned Him. (Mt.27:46; Mk.15:34)
I have done so.
You have done so?
Reviewing the
above list of questioners we know the answers varied. How do we followers reconcile
the variety to the immutability of God? (Heb.6:18-19)
Is the answer the
first question posed today found in Hebrews chapter 11?
Or do you
recognize the answer elsewhere in God’s Word and its application to life?
