GOD IS PERFECT – WE ARE NOT
Tuesday, May 14, 2019
“God is perfect.
Everything He does and says is perfect. Therefore, His standard is perfect.
Anything that “comes short” of His standard must be sin. [Rom.3:23]As James tells us, “For whosoever shall keep the
whole law, and yet offend in one point he
is guilty of all.” [Jam.2:10] That’s God’s criterion for being with Him. We
sin, we die. [Rom.6:23a] And we all have sinned. [Rom.3:23] Death [without
accepting His gift of eternal life] involves physical and spiritual separation
from God. Without repentance, it will last forever.” (Paragraph 2 of Missing
the Mark – Missing the Solution, T.A. McMahon, THE BEREAN CALL)
Any questions?
Tomorrow we’ll be
looking at Jesus’ disciples question “Who then can be saved?”

PS. Biblical repentance is: μετάνοια
metanoia
met-an'-oy-ah
From G3340; (subjectively) compunction (for
guilt, including reformation); by implication reversal (of
[another’s] decision): - repentance.
