CONTROL

James [MKJV] 1:20-25; 2:11-12 For the wrath of man does
not work out the righteousness of God. Therefore putting aside all filthiness
and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able
to save your souls. But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only,
deceiving your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a
doer, he is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror. For he studied
himself and went his way, and immediately he forgot what he was like. But
whoever looks into the perfect Law of liberty and continues in it, he is not a
forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work. This one shall be blessed in his
doing. … For He who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said,
"Do not murder." But if you do not commit adultery, yet if you
murder, you have become a transgressor of the Law. So speak and do as those who
shall be judged by the Law of liberty. [Also note chapter 4]
Commenting on
some topics may be like walking in a mine field. Control, especially gun
control is one explosive subject. But is it and other volatile issues such as
abortion, distracted driving, et al going to be resolved by more and more
control? No, but they may be alleviated.
No, in that the
USA has more restrictive national, state, and local regulations and laws now
than ever before. And yet we see mass murders by scalpel and gun and use of
other inanimate tools.
Why so? Because
we as a “Christian Nation” have and continue to go further and further from
looking into the perfect law of liberty . In certain circles of our society
murder by weapon of choice is considered a viable option to solve a personal
problem.
How so? Because
of the beatitude of rejecting loving God/loving people. (Mt. 22:36-40)
Considering Matthew 7:13 “broad road” rejection and careless professing
Christian neglection the killing has been and shall be unless it is unless curtailed
by Biblical belief and submissive application by selves. Boatloads of more laws
nor tacking “God bless America” on the end of speeches is not the solution.
