ALTERED BY INCEPTION
(Deep Crying Unto Deep)
(Deep Crying Unto Deep)
I saw a movie
last night called “Inception.” It is a story of intrigue, action, and deep
mysteries that involve entering into the deep subconscious of a person by
invading their dream world and planting seeds of thoughts and perceptions that
will work together to rearrange their concept of reality and result in altered
behavior.
I picked up a
devotional today and read about God’s grace acting deep within a man to
actually change that man in his very core so that he emerges from an entirely
new heritage unto the fulfillment of an altered life.
This all makes me
think of a poem (see below) I wrote years ago that speaks of ‘God’s Plan’ to
enter into the deepest part of a man with seeds of Divine Love in order to free
him from the entrapments of self effort and self determination and take him
into the ‘dream world’ of redemptive grace where old thought patterns and
habits of the flesh are transformed simply by the ‘inception’ of deepest love
into the deepest part of a waiting heart.
Such a reality
takes on the form of a dream as we discover the ‘ease’ of true obedience and
are no longer burdened by the ‘performances’ that are demanded of us by false
religious form. We are liberated into the ‘dream world’ of an altered
conscience based solely on the deepest interactions with ‘Heavenly Bliss.”
God’s Plan
True obedience
Is a thing of the heart
It’s not some show
As playing a part
Is a thing of the heart
It’s not some show
As playing a part
It’s not an I have to or
An I must do this
But a response to the promise
Of heavenly bliss
An I must do this
But a response to the promise
Of heavenly bliss
That’s planted deep
Within the conscience of a man
That through right choices
He fulfills God’s plan
Within the conscience of a man
That through right choices
He fulfills God’s plan
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
And the earth was formless ad void, and darkness was over the surface of the
deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
