REPELLENCY
Friday, May 12, 2017
“repellency” is a
word seldom heard., in your lifetime maybe never until today. I’m supposing the
meaning is easily understood.
Did you know that
coatings facilitating repellency exist, and someday will likely be in common
usage? Consider catsup, mustard, mayo, shampoo, hand cream et al containers
internally coated with repellent. Not only resulting in bottle, pot, jug, or
urn truly emptied, but also helping your household budget.
Fascinating, isn’t
it?!
Something I, and
I suspect you also could live without. But there is a repellency I desire; a
way to separate me from the stickiness of sin.
Wait, there is!
It is called love, spelled out in God’s Word, magnificently summed up in Jesus
response to the interrogating lawyer: “Master,
which is the great commandment in the
law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy
God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is
like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Mt.22)
