WHERE IS SATAN FOUND?
Wednesday, May 31, 2017
2Timothy [ESV] 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for
reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God
may be complete, equipped for every good work.
In KJV Biblically
searching for “Satan” (i.e. adversary) we find he is only mentioned in 16 books
out of 66. Four in the OT, 14 in the NT. Job the most in OT, Paul’s writings the
most often in the NT.

Searching Satan’s
other Biblical names results in similar data.
Though not the
main person in history, Satan is a person we definitely need to know about, hence
the information in God’s Word. But being a curious fellow and schooled to ask
alternative questions, I sometimes wonder why comparatively few of God’s penman
mentions Satan? Especially considering God’s Word is not a capricious serendipity
volume. Believing this as fact I ask what is the lesson therein and what is its
life-application?
