John [MKJV] 14:6
Jesus said to him [Thomas], I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no
one comes to the Father but by Me.
Jesus explained
that he is the only way to the Father. (Jn.14:6) The illustrative basic meaning
of which is easy to understand, but to more fully comprehend it helps to use
study aids. Nave’s Topical Bible is a good one. It topically gives us placements.
Using Nave’s I typed in “road” and found:
Roads

From Bethel to Shechem Jdg_21:19
From Judea to Galilee, by way of Samaria Joh_4:3-5; Joh_4:43

Having checked
out all the verses, a simple process with e-Sword software as I only need to
move cursor onto each Bible verse reference and the full verse pops up in a
box. If I want to read a verse in context I simply click on it and it pops up
in context in left quadrant above.
Conclusion from
this brief study: Routes always lead to a place. In the case of Jesus, only He is
the route to the Father’s immutable truth and eternal life.
