RESURRECTION POWER MAY BE HAD

RESURRECTION POWER MAY BE HAD

Mark [ESV] 16:3-6 And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here.

  That which we call Easter is a constant for the followers of Christ. Because we know Jesus was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead. (Rom.1:14) Without His resurrection we would have only His life among men, death and burial; a faith of little difference from other beliefs.

  But what difference does the power of His resurrection make in our life that is an unknown number of days? For myself I’m astounded that I lived so long knowing that longevity is not a trophy, but time of John 1:12 family opportunity and responsibility in thankful authorized service.

  Here are several verses to help understand resurrection power:

Acts_4:33  And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Romans_1:4  And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Philippians_3:10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Revelation_20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
