APPLYING GOVERNMENTALITY
Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
I’m not a
conspiracy person, but I do sometimes wonder. Especially so in light of what
God’s penmen, Paul and John (digital 666), explained and in reading history and
my 86+ years of watching current events.
Among the dozen
or so magazines I subscribe to and read is Harper’s, it stretching both my
vocabulary and mind. The feature cover article this June is PERMANENT PANDEMIC
. . . “A Future In Which The Crisis Is Over, But The Technologies We Developed
To Control it Still Control Us “
The seven page article
by Justin E. H. Smith definitely makes a provocative case for “governmentality”.
Smith speaks of China’s draconian controls and
democracies compliances. To quote. “… it would take a stunning level of naivete
to suppose that [tracking] technologies of social control used for such
purposes in authoritarian regimes might not evolve toward analogous, if better
euphemized, purposes in what’s left of the liberal democracies.”
Something to seriously
consider in that it is we who would be confronted or compromised.
