2Corinthians [ESV] 5:17-18  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 

 

Two lists for the new you:

  Describing the new you (2Cor.5:14-21)

 

1.The new you lives not for yourself, but for God.

2. The new you doesn’t judge anyone, including yourself, by the flesh. [Your old personal standards.]

3.The new you embraces the death of the old you.

4.The new you has been completely reconciled to God – with no sine counted against you.

5.The new you is an ambassador for Christ, and is becoming the righteousness of God.

 

Out new you resolutions. (Col.3:1-17)

 

1.Seek the things of God, not of this world.

2.Die to the old you and his/her sinful passions.

3.Give up anger, gossip, filthy language, and lying.

4.Give up pride, envy, and a sense of privilege.

5.Be kind, compassionate, humble, patient, and forgiving.

6.Be loving, at peace within and with others, be caring, gracious and thankful.

7.Speakm of and sing Christ to one another, teaching, exemplifying, admonishing and encouraging.

8.Do everything in the name of Jesus, glorifying God with gratitude always.

 

Remember that since your past sins no longer defines who you are, you are free to fully pursue God now!
