HYGIENIC BELIEVERS

I well remember Grandmother
McGee stating firmly “I will be checking behind you ears.” Then we’d groan and
she’d firmly respond “Cleanliness is next to godliness.”
Is that adage
based in God’s Word, or is it a folksy way of getting outdoor loving dirtballs
to launder? In my lifetime I’ve heard 2 ministers proclaim it has no basis in
Scripture. I’ll let you decide by looking up and reviewing Bible verses on
cleanliness from WHERE TO FIND IT IN THE BIBLE, The Ultimate A To Z Resource,
by Ken Anderson (ISBN 0-7852-1157-8).
