MAN MAY PROPOSE
Proverbs 16:1-3 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
When we were
children and started to make big plans, Grandpa would say “Man may propose, but
it is God that disposes.”
It wasn’t until I
was older that I fully understood what Grandpa meant, and how true it is. If we
make our own plans without considering God and what He says (The Bible), we are
destined to fail in anything that is not part of His will; His eternal plan!
Christ said “Seek
ye first the kingdom of God…” (Mt.6:33) and “Thy will be done.” (Mt. 6:10;
26:42; Lk.11:2)
