ALSO

 ALSO

2Corinthians [GW] 5:14-20 Clearly, Christ's love guides us. We are convinced of the fact that one man has died for all people. Therefore, all people have died. He died for all people so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for the man who died and was brought back to life for them. So from now on we don't think of anyone from a human point of view. If we did think of Christ from a human point of view, we don't anymore. Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence. God has done all this. He has restored our relationship with him through Christ, and has given us this ministry of restoring relationships. In other words, God was using Christ to restore his relationship with humanity. He didn't hold people's faults against them, and he has given us this message of restored relationships to tell others. Therefore, we are Christ's representatives, and through us God is calling you. We beg you on behalf of Christ to become reunited with God.

2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

It is primarily our responsibility to study and to personally “rightly divide” God’s Word. We are not to be lackadaisical in relying carelessly on theologians, authors, preachers, priests or teachers.  This includes me as both receiver and presenter!

Case in point: For many years I heard and believed that the Book of Job was all about Job. After personal prayerful study I realized “Not so.” It is primarily about Sovereign Jehovah God Almighty, and Satan, and also Job.

Another example is Luke chapter 15, verses 11-32. I believing that the main character being the wayward son as was originally emphasized in evangelistic sermons I heard. Not so! “The main character in the parable, the forgiving father, whose character remains constant throughout the story, is a picture of God. In telling the story, Jesus identifies Himself with God in His loving attitude to the lost.“ (GotQuestions.org)

I’m sure that some of you knew these truths early on, some not until this day.

Please do study worthy to our calling as representatives of Christ.
