THE FENCE
BIll Harrington
explained that the 10 Commandments and all else of God’s Word is a fence that
protects us . . . if we honor the demarcation.
This includes
staying in the Word as opposed to seeking guidance outside of, apart from, His
Word. This truth is very clear in that “All Scripture is breathed out by God
and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in
righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every
good work.” (2Tim.3:16-17) … His divine power has granted to us all things that
pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to
his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious
and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the
divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because
of sinful desire.” (2Pet.1:3-4)
Are we at serious
risk beyond THE FENCE if we seek counsel and guidance from those outliers grounded
in the theories of Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, Karen
Horney, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and others holding anti-Biblical theories?
Indeed we are!
