John [GW] chapter 20 … That Sunday evening, the disciples
were together behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jews. Jesus
stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you!" …
My education that
began here will continue after my final earthly breath. Continuing here, John
chapter20 is another one of those passages that I’ve read and heard a number of
times, but recently learned something more about the story as I sat at Pastor
Mike Boyle’s feet.
After the stressful
turmoil of Jesus’ trial and horrific crucifixion the disciples so feared for
their lives that they locked themselves in. Secured doors, windows, and walls
mattered not to Jesus as He appeared and spoke in their midst.
Then why was the tomb
stone rolled away?
Definitely not so
Jesus could get out. It is so we can see in!
