WALKING WITH CHRIST
Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me
free from the law of sin and death.
The summer our
children were 8 and 10 years old we visited relatives in Montana. On our way
home we stopped in Thermopolis, Wyoming. There is a large mineral spring there.
They have wooden walkways with signs warning to stay on the boardwalks. These
signs are to protect people and the scenery.
As we were
walking our son lost his balance and his one foot slipped into the hot water.
His father immediately pulled him back. There was no permanent damage, but you
can be sure he didn’t need to be warned again. Thereafter he stayed on the
path.
We Christians
sometimes slip and our “foot” gets in hot water, but the damage is not
life-threatening if we get back on the path and walk in Christ as we are
supposed to do.
