I CAN NEVER BE A FATBERG

I CAN NEVER BE A FATBERG

John [ESV] 1:11-14 He [the Word (Logos)] came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. [Also note 3:3]
1Corinthians [GW] 2:13-16 We don't speak about these things using teachings that are based on intellectual arguments like people do. Instead, we use the Spirit's teachings. We explain spiritual things to those who have the Spirit. A person who isn't spiritual doesn't accept the teachings of God's Spirit. He thinks they're nonsense. He can't understand them because a person must be spiritual to evaluate them. Spiritual people evaluate everything but are subject to no one's evaluation. "Who has known the mind of the Lord so that he can teach him?" However, we have the mind of Christ.
James [GW] 1:22-25 Do what God's word says. Don't merely listen to it, or you will fool yourselves. If someone listens to God's word but doesn't do what it says, he is like a person who looks at his face in a mirror, studies his features, goes away, and immediately forgets what he looks like. However, the person who continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don't merely listen and forget; they actually do what God's teachings say.

A fatberg is olio made up of cooking grease, shredded garbage, and excrement. The stinking accumulation clogs household drains, and when sticking together largely, city sewers. Whether beneath your home’s floor or street’s paving, fatbergs require work to remove. If not eliminated, they block the flow of waste and make for unhealthy destructive situations.
I can never be a fatberg. I can however be a fathead; at times with gourd holding garbage hindering or even blocking stimulating refreshment.  This I recognize because in utilizing the mirror of God’s Word I clearly see my egocentric history and still experience my old nature in conflict with God’s John 1:12 empowering adoption as His son some 60+ years ago.
One thing experienced rota-rooter persons and city sewer clearing teams can tell you with confidence is they know where fatbergs commonly gather.
One thing a spiritual fathead knows, though he/she may deny, is exactly what is impeding the flow of God’s revitalizing love and grace.
May our heart cry out as did the Apostle Paul, saying, “… whatever things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them to be dung, …” (Phil.3)
