Zechariah 2:1-13
Matthew [GW] 5:45a He [God] makes his sun rise on people whether they are good or evil. He lets rain fall on them whether they are just or unjust.

Should USA be afraid, very afraid?
For all that externally and internally threatens our nation’s well being on a regular basis, and current perils that come and go, if we trust and obey God as our protector . . . we survive, we flourish.
If we do not trust and obey Him, we dwell in prideful self-reliance, and God resists us. (Jam.4:1-10)
However, even when we Christians lovingly follow Him, we may suffer storms resulting from national leaders’ actions. This has always been so. The apostles and disciples experienced thusly under pagan Roman leadership. Christians as well as Jews suffered under Hitler and evil company brand of nationalism.
I sit peacefully at this keyboard, searching, reading, and pondering God’s Word while much needed showers patter against this study’s windows. Considering God’s absolute Zionist position recorded in Zechariah 2, and our country’s present leader and cohorts’ opposition to Israel, I wonder if the USA is beginning to or will soon suffer a storm yet unseen in this land?
Standing on the wrong side of the apple of God’s eye is a perilous position for one and all, whether just or unjust.
