BEGINNING WITH DEATH: EVERLASTING SUFFERING?

   The Lord declares "The new heaven and earth that I am about to make will continue in my presence," declares the LORD. "So your descendants and your name will also continue in my presence. From one month to the next and from one week to the next all people will come to worship me," declares the LORD. Then they will go out and look at the corpses of those who have rebelled against me.    Revelation 19:20; 20:10-12, 14-15  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. … And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. … And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

  Is eternal hell real? Or is it a religion scare tactic to inspire morality, or a method to manipulate people?

  Hell, the place of eternal suffering separated from God is real. The same Word from whence we joyfully read of heaven. For your convenience in edification I share my review of the references in KJV:

Deut.32:22  For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

2Sam.22:6  The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

Job_11:8; 26:6  It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? … Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

Ps.9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Ps.16:10  For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Ps.18:5  The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

Ps.55:15  Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.

Ps.86:13  For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

Ps.116:3  The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

Ps.139:8  If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Pr.5:5  Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

Mt.10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

  Hell is important to know of. I pray that none that read my morning thoughts will ever be known in.
