119:10-11 With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your
commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin
against you.
Proverbs 3:3-7 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; tie them around your neck; write them upon the tablet of your heart; and you shall find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear Jehovah and depart from evil.
FACT: We, from Adam on, enjoy and suffer free will.
FACT: God did not restrict or prevent Adam, Cain . . . or
any of us since.
FACT: God’s Word living and written reveals His will.
FACT: New Testament believers additionally have the Lord
within.
FACT: Reverencing God we trust and therein rely on His
wisdom, the Word.
FACT: The alternative to trusting His will is trusting
our will, our way.
FACT: Jesus criticized His generation as “perverse” in
seeking special revelation.
FACT: The Biblical record shows special revelations as
unexpected life-interruptions.
FACT: Complying with God’s interruption(s) may and/or
will be disruptive; an ark thing.
FACT: Discerning God’s will involves work.
2Timothy 2:15-16 Study earnestly to present yourself
approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing
the Word of Truth. But shun profane, vain babblings, for they will
increase to more ungodliness.
