DECISION MAKING AND THE WILL OF GOD: Expectations a Problem?
Genesis [ESV] 2:8, 15-17 And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. … The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
We cannot alter
God’s master plan. Our expectations, however may subvert God’s will for us
individually. 2Pet.3:9 is a prime example. The first instance of this was in
the garden in Eden, with us too often following the first Adam instead of the
second. (1Cor.15:45-47)
