DECISION MAKING AND THE WILL OF GOD: An Unsettling Belief
As God’s John
1:12 family members we are to exemplify Romans 12:1-2 worshipful thought and
action. The why and how-to of authentically worshipping God is plainly
presented in Scripture. To seek and find God’s perfect will for our individual
life is not portrayed in His Word. Striving to be a disciple pleasing God is obvious
sound doctrine. Striving to find or unravel the mystery of His will personally
is not sound doctrine.
Those selected
for ministry beyond our universal Biblical directives were surprised. Their lives
interrupted by God. Moses, Gideon, Esther, the 12, Saul/Paul are examples. Even
those such then, and now, exercised free will in accepting God’s will. Some resisted,
argued, or wavered before complying.
Let us settle peacefully and confidently continuing in 2Timothy 2:15 Bible study; discerning and approved
workman proclaiming Christ crucified, building upon the one foundation in all true
godliness. (1Cor.3:11-14)
