LIMITING THE POWER OF
REDEMPTION
1Corinthians 6:19-20 What?
know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in
you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with
a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are
God's. [Also note 7:23; Act_20:28; Gal_3:13; Heb_9:12; 1Pe_1:18;
2Pe_2:1; Rev_5:9]
I awoke
at 3.53am thinking about today’s topic: How we can limit the power of Christ’s
redemption. How so?
First understand that frequenting a brothel
or some such obvious sinning need not be involved. (As Paul and other of God’s
penmen did, he was addressing a current local problem. Note James 1:22)
What I’ve noticed in my 61+ years as Christ’
disciple is the confining individuals’ life-view to deliverance from
condemnation to heaven. (Jn.3:16-18)
In doing so individuals seriously curtail
their Romans 12:1-2 authentic worship pleasing to God, and consequently missing
the blessings of maturation. Heaven-bound, but baby Christians.
