IF I HAD BEEN ADAM

I remember as a
young new Christian resolutely thinking “If I had been Adam I wouldn’t have
gone within 100 feet of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” And I
believe I actually publically stated so a time or two.
Ha!
Having learned
more about self, Ed in particular, I think
more likely after viewing Eve I would have negotiated for more than just one woman
prior to noshing on that fruit? “Very nice Lord, and it didn’t hurt at all. I’ll
bet I could spare another rib or two.”
Now considering
education since making earlier naïve pronouncement; nah! For I’m just another
Adam without excuse of my own. (Rom.3:23-26)
