John [MKJV] 8:31-36 Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed on Him, If you continue in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered Him, We are Abraham's seed and were never in bondage to anyone. How do you say, You will be made free?

Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever practices sin is the slave of sin. And the slave does not abide in the house forever, but the Son abides forever. Therefore if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

Jesus declared that those following Him may be free indeed. May, for religious tradition then and now is bondage that must be relinquished by understanding and trusting in the Word living (Jn.1:1) and written (Heb.4:12; 2Tim.3:16-17). Can we be free indeed as Jesus promised if we do not rightly divide “the Word of Truth”? We cannot. This corrective studious work on our part results in deliverance from the hindrance of adverse onus. (2Tim.2:15-16; 3:16-17)

If individually necessary, in particular this includes casting aside the tradition of the 4 Gospels beginning with Matthew 1:1 as being included in the New Testament: Recognizing the cross as the dividing line between Old and New Covenants frees us from the impossibility of attempting to keep the Law of the Old Testament resulting in God’s grace personally coming into full focus.

  Be free indeed!
