TWO WORDS OF ASSURANCE

1Corinthians 15:12-14 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some
among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no
resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen,
then is our preaching vain, and your
faith is also vain.
2Corinthians
4:18 While we look not at the
things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we
understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which
are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Apologetics; [uh-pol-uh-jet-iks] noun, ( used with a singular verb) 1. the
branch of theology concerned with the defense or proof of Christianity.
If nothing else in
the way of eternal security apologetics, the Word living and written presents two
unambiguous
words: Eternal. Everlasting.
Read on, rest in His blessed assurance with peace
and confidence.
Mat_19:16
And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing
shall I do, that I may have eternal
life?
Mat_25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the
righteous into life eternal.
Mar_3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never
forgiveness, but is in danger of Mar_10:17,
30 And when he was gone forth
into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good
Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? … But he
shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and
sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the
world to come eternal
life.
Luk_10:25
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master,
what shall I do to inherit eternal
life?
Luk_18:18
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to
inherit eternal
life?
Joh_3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh_4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto
life eternal: that
both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
Joh_5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they
are they which testify of me.

Joh_12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his
life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Joh_17:2-3 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should
give eternal life
to as many as thou hast given him. And this is
life eternal, that
they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Act_13:48
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word
of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Rom_1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are
without excuse:
Rom_2:7 To
them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and
immortality, eternal
life:
Rom_5:21
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through
righteousness unto eternal
life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
2Co_4:17-18
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a
far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While

For we know that if our earthly house of this
tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with

Tit_1:2 In
hope of eternal

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to
the hope of eternal

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey

the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ

forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. … Keep yourselves in the love of
God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Mat_18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off,
and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or
maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
Mat_19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or
sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's
sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Mat_25:41, 46 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart
from me, ye cursed, into everlasting
fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: … And
these shall go away into everlasting
punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Luk_16:9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon
of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
Luk_18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and
in the world to come life everlasting.
Joh_3:16, 36 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. …
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not
see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Joh_4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him
shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well
of water springing up into everlasting
life.
Joh_5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is
passed from death unto life.
Joh_6:27, 40, 47 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat
which endureth unto everlasting
life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father
sealed. … And this is the will of him that sent
me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I
will raise him up at the last day. … Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
Joh_12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I
speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Act_13:46
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the
word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from
you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
Rom_6:22
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have
your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Rom_16:26
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets,
according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of
faith:

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but
he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from

And finally for this morning: I write these things to you who believe in
