AS GOD HAS IT, DO WE?

AS GOD HAS IT, DO WE?

1Kings 11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
1Thessalonians [GW] 5:16-22 Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Whatever happens, give thanks, because it is God's will in Christ Jesus that you do this. Don't put out the Spirit's fire. Don't despise what God has revealed. Instead, test everything. Hold on to what is good. Keep away from every kind of evil.

Noshing on corn flakes and skimmed milk I read Joel Belz’s essay HIS MIGHTY ACTS (WORLD magazine, February 2, 2019) “A believers perpetual instinct should not so much be to ask, ‘I wonder what’s happening today,’ as it is to ask, in effect, ‘I wonder what memorable things God is doing today.’ In a profound way, the difference between those two expressions boils down to whether a person has a God-directed heart of praise.”
“It’s possible to cultivate such a heart. You can enhance your sense of praise, even in this secular age, by daring to give God public credit for what you believe deep in your heart He has actually done.”
Joel’s words left me considering as God has it, do I?
