GOD IS NIGH
Psalm [MKJV] 34:18 Jehovah is near to the broken-hearted;
and saves those who are of a contrite spirit.
It has been {decades] since I lost my husband. I have
learned to live with the heartache, but there are times when I wake in the
night and the loneliness is so devastating that I get up and go outside to be
closer to my heavenly Father. One night, while sitting on my deck, I wrote this
poem:
Moonrise
No matter what the
clock may say
My night is over –
sleep is gone
The lure of moon
glow has called me,
I see the branch
of a tree slide down the moon
And once again I
know my world is right
God reigns!
The world turns
and the moon rises.
